Who We Are
The educational system in the state of Louisiana is ranked as one of the lowest in the United States. Our classrooms are becoming increasingly overcrowded and our teachers are slowly losing the battle of educating our leaders of tomorrow. A void must be filled in our efforts to provide our children with a good education. We must help that senior in high school who cannot answer the algebra question on the LEAP Exam because he/she did not learn how to multiply and divide in the 2nd and 3rd grade. We must help that senior in high school who cannot write a well written essay on the ACT because he/she did not learn how to formulate a paragraph in the 2nd and 3rd grade. Although our teachers struggle on a day to day basis to help those seniors in high school, as well as other students, it does not seem to be enough. The key to solving Louisiana's education dilemma is to work together with the school, which includes the principal, the social worker, the guidance counselor, and the classroom teacher. This goal can be accomplished through the assistance of an Educational Learning Consultant.
For many years Educational Learning Consultants have not only helped to reinforce what was taught in the classroom, but in some cases served as the only means of learning. It has been shown that when a child has had the assistance of an Educational Learning Consultant several things were accomplished. The child not only received a better understanding of the subject he/she was having difficulty with, but he/she became motivated, got excited about learning and his/her entire perception about education changed. Educational Learning Consultants also serve as liaisons between the parents and the school. They insure that the students in which they serve are being provided with the best academic support possible and they also persist in making sure that your child has had his/her academic needs addressed, assessed, documented and monitored.
H.E.L.P. Educational Services, L.L.C. was established in 1997 as a tutoring service for students in 2nd grade - 12th grade. Since that time our organization has touched the lives of hundreds of students from all walks of life through academic edification in subjects ranging from Reading Comprehension and Composition Writing to Geometry and Calculus and even G.E.D. preparation.
Currently our services are expanding and have become more than just a tutoring and homework assistance program.
We have shifted our services to focus more on the redevelopment of the community. H.E.L.P. Educational Services, LLC currently offers assistance to nonprofit organizations in the New Orleans metropolitan area as well as the greater Houston and Austin, Texas area in an effort to provide grant writing assistance, program development and management, financial and budget planning and infrastructure projects.
