Alex and Haley Williams Scholarship

DEADLINE DATE FOR SUBMISSION:
March 31 for Fall Semester
October 1 for Spring Semester
Minimum Criteria to Apply for the Alex & Haley Williams Scholarship: (1)Students must be an in-state-student, must (plan to) attend a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), (2) must participate in activities in the community that promote positive-based outcomes, (3) must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative grade point average (4) be member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, (5) attend a catholic high school recognized by the Archdiocese of New Orleans .
Scholarship Selection Process:
- Scholarships are awarded based upon a scoring process; i.e., a combination of grade point average and scholarship application points.
- Scholarship applications are evaluated on appearance, spelling, grammar, letters of recommendation, and the answers to the four questions on the application form.
- Scholarship awards are subject to the availability of funds
The following items must be enclosed with your H.E.L.P. Educational Services, L.L.C. /Alex & Haley Williams Scholarship Application Form:
- Letter of recommendation from one of the following:
- High school official, if you are currently a high school student
- Faculty member or administrator, if you are currently a college student
- Employer, pastor, close family member or mentor
- Copy of transcript (college last attended, if completed 12 semester credits, or if you have not previously attended college, a copy of your high school transcripts)
